Insignificance ...

The Grand Canyon and Oak Creek Canyon -- simply magnificent. I love being around mountains and oceans because they're a reality check for how important the everyday events in our lives really are ... it's always about perspective.

A little closer to heaven ...

Sunset Mountain just outside of Phoenix provides an amazing perspective over the metropolis. Even though it was overcast all day long, the sun skimmed just under the cast and sifted across the city.

Nature's Architechture ...

It never ceases to amaze me, the raw beauty that Mother Nature spills before our eyes -- Arizona is a stunning place.

Festivus Photo Time!

Tonight was definitely a challenge. Jake and Farley were not cooperating for their holiday photo session ... just a preface of what's to come, attached you see the image of Farley as he was "startled" by, well, who really knows what!

Preparing for Winter ...

Jake has been attempting to prepare Farley for this year's first winter storm. As you can see, it requires a great deal of resting while the anticipations builds.

Thought I would pull off the road to photograph the Illinois River near Lacon on my way back from a Bioterrorism Summit in Springfield today.
