Dixon, after the parade ...

I thought I would stop by the front of the new courts building this evening and take a few images of the famous Dixon arch. For those who don't know, this is the "new" arch. An original, much smaller arch, was built just north of this one as a tribute to the soldiers who made it home from World War I. Just behind it, and to the right, is the infamous sculpture which has inherited many names throughout the years. However, it's given title is "Wings of Peace".

You should post a clearer picture of the "Wings of Peace." Also, the comment posted under "he's learning" managed to amuse me somehow. :) Oh, and since your blog seems to be dog/parade focused, I'll bring Bailey and Laney up sometime for a parade, they have lots of costumes, and Jake has requested that he get to walk behind them. Feel free to delete this post. LU

Double click on the picture "Dixon, after the parade..." to see how the Wings of Peace glows in the dark. I for one like the sculpture even if it has many names!
